My go to example for the importance of sex over gender is fertility clinics. There is not one on the planet that will create a new baby for you with your choice of gametes. However you may choose to identify, if you go to a clinic for reproductive assistance, you will find that they will only work with one combo: an egg from a natal female and a sperm from a natal male. And then the only place they will put this potential new human is into the prepared uterus of a natal female.
And to those who tell me that "gender affirming care" is life or death, I may agree, but not for the reasons that this is lifesaving, but the opposite. I think it was a major error to remove this sort of delusional thinking from the DSM.
With respect to JammiDodgers, it's easier to be perceived as a male when you are six feet tall. She had a girlfriend with homophobic parents and by transitioning everyone was mollified.
Very similar journey over here, including an initial period of hoping my suspicions were wrong just to go along to get along.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t. Once you see all the sexism and homophobia that is gender ideology, it’s too difficult to pretend not to see and still live with yourself.
